Hello! My name is Richard, and I’m thrilled to say that this is my 17th year teaching primary and secondary school English. I grew up in the U.K. and had completed my degree and master’s before arriving in Hong Kong. I began my teaching career at Pok Fu Lam Government Primary School, and then went on to teach at a number of secondary schools in Hong Kong before turning to teaching in the private field. I’m LPAT qualified and I specialise in teaching students on international baccalaureate, IGCSE, and HKDSE programmes. I am devoted to teaching young kids and always try to provide an environment that is conducive to learning. I always encourage my students to think out of the box and not to be afraid of failure as it’s just part of the learning process. My lessons are fun and interactive. I hope you can get a chance to join my classes.

Bio coming soon...
Hey there! I’m delighted to say that I’ve had the pleasure of working with kids in educational settings for over 4 years in a local school and other organizations. I have studied in international schools for my primary through secondary education and graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor for Business Studies in Marketing with top honors. I am a Native English speaker and am also proficient in both Cantonese and Mandarin.
I believe success and failure are not mutually exclusive experiences. My achievements to date, both academic and non-academic were built upon learning from failure. I wasn’t always the model student, but over time, learned how to overcome my weaknesses and more importantly identified the key factors for academic success. The key factor to my success was having developed an inquisitive mind and not being afraid of asking questions. I aim to convey both positive attitudes and knowledge to my students here at Limelight in order to help them help themselves.
Learning with the right attitude isn’t hard - It’s a good challenge! Coupling these positive attitudes and habits with the right skills and knowledge will create the perfect concoction for perpetuating success not only in academics but life after school! After all, learning is a life-long experience! I would be thrilled to help guide you along for part of the way on your journey! 😊
