What attaining this level means:
 

• Shows others you can communicate in basic English in everyday situations

• Equivalent to A2 / Elementary level according to the Common European Framework

Who should take it:

• P.5 - F.2 students

• OR if you've studied / practiced 250 hours of English, and speak, read, write and understand basic English

Scope of the exam:

• Ask and answer questions about yourself and others

• Understand announcement and instructions when people speak slowly and clearly

• Tell people what you think about something you read or hear

​

The exam contains:

• Reading and Writing (1 hr 10 mins | 50% of total score)

• Listening (30 mins | 25% of total score)

• Speaking (8-10 mins per pair of candidates | 25% of total score)
